How did you first hear of Wilkes Christian Fellowship Club?
I
first heard of Christian fellowship club through facebook. I was
friends on facebook with Grace Eiler and I asked her about it. She
invited me to join the group online and that sparked my curiosity to
attend some meetings, and I am glad I did!
What aspect of CFC specifically encouraged your walk with Christ?
Just
the simple fact that I am not alone when it comes to my beliefs in God
and the difficulty of living a Godly lifestyle in the crazy college
atmosphere that we are all a part of. I find it awesome that we have
the freedom and the ability to gather together and talk with each other
and lift each other's spirits up through fellowship and prayer.
With graduation only a couple days away, what do you plan to do after college?
I
plan on obtaining a full time job as an entry-level accountant. I want
to take a break from studying for at least a few months, but then I
would like to begin studying for the CPA(certified public
accountant) exam. Once I achieve CPA status I will have a lot more
opportunities and flexibility within the accounting profession. While
that is my plan, I am always open for other opportunities that may come
about. I keep praying that I am able to fulfill God's will for my life
no matter where I end up.
How important was your relationship with Christ throughout college?
My
relationship with Christ in college was vital. If it wasn't for
Christ, I firmly believe I would have never been able to step a foot
inside a classroom at Wilkes. As a freshman, I really struggled
adjusting to college life, but because of the support system I had at
home and because of Christ, I was able to persevere. It is because of
Christ that I have made it this far in life, and any and all successes
of mine in the professional world will also be because of Him.
I hear that you are a big Phillies fan, what are the chances of them winning the NL east two years in a row?
I like their
chances a lot. They started out a lot better this year then they did
last year, despite injuries to Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino. As
long as their pitching holds up, they should win it. I almost feel
sorry for any Mets/Braves fans in CFC ;)Previous Meet A Members
