About me I am from central Pennsylvania, and currently in the pharmacy
program here at Wilkes(definitely a dork).
My family has always been very important and I love being able to spend
time with them. My favorite place to go
on vacation is Ocracoke Island, North Carolina because it offers
the ability to get away from the rest of the world. This means that cell phones don't work, and
you can spend all day on a beach seeing maybe only ten people. Since I was little my Dad has taken me
camping and hiking, which I really enjoy since I feel closer to God when I am
in the woods or on a beach. There is
something powerful about God's creation, and when we stop to admire all that he
has done for us. I love food, there
really isn't anything I don't like to eat.
My heart melts when I see an elderly couple holding hands, and babies
always make me happy. Putting on PJs at 4pm is okay in my book and I have
grown to really cherish hanging out, talking and laughing with my friends, they
are the best. Overall, the more simple
something is, the more I tend to enjoy it.
When did you first
start attending CFC meetings? I
began attending CFC in February of 2006.*
How has CFC played a
role in your walk with Christ? CFC
has become a testimony to me of the amazing plans Christ can accomplish through
people who love him and are dedicated to his purpose. Christ bringing this group into my life has
been one of the largest blessings. In
fact, I believe that God placed me here at Wilkes University
for the sole purpose of deepening my faith, and learning to trust in him through other
Christians. Coming to college as a
Christian, you can feel completely alone in what you believe. Instead of pulling the people around you
closer to Christ, they can pull you farther away. Christian Fellowship Club provides a constant
support from other believers for encouragement, love and advice, so that you
can in turn become a better disciple for Christ in college, and in your future
career. The praise/worship and studying
of the Bible with my peers has helped me to become stronger in my faith and
keep God first in my life, everyday of the week, not just Sunday mornings.
What are some of your
spiritual goals as you begin to enter into the working field in 2009? As a pharmacist I want to strive to be a
witness of God's love to all of my patients by taking the time to listen to
their concerns about their health, and go the extra mile to help when its
needed, not just when it fits into my schedule.
I hope that God can use the pharmaceutical knowledge I have gained for
his glory to improve the lives of people that struggle with illness everyday. As a boss, I want to make the workplace
behind the counter one that is encouraging, and enjoyable to my technicians. When I enter into my profession, God will
always be my number one priority, and I will not let a job compromise my
relationship with Christ, cause without Jesus everything else is meaningless.
I hear you love Ice Cream, what is your favorite flavor? Mint chocolate chip,
Peanut butter ripple, Chocolate chip Cookie Dough, Strawberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Marshmallow, Party Cake, ALL Ben and
Jerry's flavors and pretty much anything
from Cold Stone Creamery :) *CFC first began as a bible study group in February of 2006
