Community Service

Commuter Council performs community service each semester.

Spring 2006- Commuter Council donated over $300 to the McGlynn Learning Center.

Fall 2005- Commuter Council sold t-shirts to benefit the Hurricane Katrina victims. All money was donated to the Red Cross.

Spring 2005- Members of the Commuter Council participated in Bowl for Kids Sake, an event that raises money for local Big Brothers/Big Sisters organizations. The club sponsored its team by donating $500 to the organization.

Fall 2004 - Commuter Council volunteered at the American Red Cross blood drive held on campus.

Spring 2004 - Commuter Council volunteered at the American Red Cross blood drive held on campus on Tuesday, April 20.

Fall 2003 - Commuter Council made and donated candy bags to local area children for Halloween!

Spring 2003 - Commuter Council gathered and sent items to the troops in Iraq.

Spring 2003 - Commuter Council catered a dinner for the VISION Homeless Shelter program. The dinner was held in the lower lever of Conyngham Hall.

Spring 2002 - Commuter Council participated in Bowl for Kids held at Stanton Lanes in Wilkes-Barre.

Fall 2002 - Commuter Council made and donated candy bags to local area children for Halloween!

Fall 2001 - Commuter Council donated $500 to the Wilkes-Barre Rotary for their Big Brothers/Big Sisters Christmas Party held at Bishop Hoban High School.
