New Business

1) Deirdre Kennedy: There were compliments on the Halloween services and the variety in the late-nite menu. Sodexho is trying to provide a different variety at night (different than the day time). There was a request for more fruit, even canned. There was also a request for a larger variety of vegetables. Variety in the foods has been the biggest request, and Sodexho is trying to accommodate all the comments being brought in. They are looking to add a second beverage station near the front stair well, hopefully by the end of the semester. All you can eat: they are asking that you only take one entrée at a time, and then come back for more if you still want because many times the extra food is coming back through wasted. However, if you still want to get two entrees on the first time through, you can still have it. Sodexho is trying to provide a different variety of foods in Stark than is available in Rifkin. They will be getting a toaster for Stark. They appreciate any suggestions for what students would like to see there. There was also a comment on the prices in Rifkin; Sodexho is looking into getting another fountain machine for Rifkin, and possibly doing combo meals. Many of the retail items (chips) have pre-marked prices from the vendors, and those prices cannot be changed. There was also a comment about the scrambled eggs, and Deirdre will look into how they are being prepared. Additionally there was a request to have real eggs available upon request, which should be in effect in several days.
2) Office Hours: Remember that you need 15 activity hours for the semester. The current tally is on the back of the agenda.
3) Kings vs Wilkes Football Game: Will be Saturday, Nov 15th. If you are interested in helping decorate, see Kelly after the meeting. Also, the University will be sponsoring a tent during the game. There was an idea to have Wilkes vs Kings t-shirts made, and give them out before the game. Mudd made a motion to table the discussion until basketball season, Kelly seconded.
4) Member of the Month for October: Liz, Mick, and Pete were nominated. Mick won! Congratulations!!
5) Christmas Party: The SG party will be in the first week of December. Next week we will pick names for Secret Santa. If you can‚t make the next meeting, e-mail Selena with 3 choices of what you would like (less than $15).
